Serbia are set for an international friendly game with Nigeria slated for March 27, 2018 in London. The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed the game as part of preparations for the Super Eagles ahead of the forthcoming World Cup.
They have been drawn along with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in the group stage. Nigeria, who recently defeated Argentina in a friendly game, are hoping to do something spectacular again in Russia and hope for good showing against their European counterparts to they can qualify from the group. For now, Argentina and Croatia are the favourites to qualify from the group on paper.
The Poland game will be on March 23, four days before the Serbia game. The Super Eagles will then host DR Congo in Abuja on May 28 before facing another World Cup bound side Nigeria at Wembley on June 2. The final warm up game is against Czech Rep set for June 6 in Austria, before they fly to Russia for the tournament itself. Coach Gernot Rohr wanted a Chile friendly ahead of the Argentina clash but he is yet to reach a compromise with the NFF.
